TREATMENTS
Porcelain Laminate Veneer
Porcelain laminate veneer, also known as leaf porcelain, is the most common treatment we apply in smile design.
It is an aesthetic application that is performed only on the front surfaces of the teeth by thinning them by an average of 0.3-0.7 mm and touching the healthy tooth tissue as little as possible, providing the closest appearance to the natural tooth.
They provide extremely successful results in the elimination of deformities in the teeth, in dark and discolored teeth that have not achieved results with whitening, in the closure of interdental spaces (diastemas), and in the elimination of mild crowding.
Before starting the treatment, the most suitable treatment is designed for the person’s mouth, jaw, and facial structure. At this stage, it is determined how the person’s teeth will look like. The image that will be formed after the treatment is shown to the person from the very beginning by applying mock-up teeth to be prepared with the impression to be taken from the patient before the treatment. Then the teeth are abraded only from the front surfaces and an impression is taken with a sensitive impression material. Porcelain laminates are prepared and rehearsed according to the models taken in a digital environment. The entire treatment is completed in an average of 2-3 sessions (maximum 4-5 days).
Our patients do not experience any problems in their daily lives in terms of aesthetics and function by using temporary teeth during the treatment period. Since porcelain laminates are the treatment option with the least abrasion on the teeth, there are no problems such as pain and sensitivity during and after the treatment process.
After bonding, they form a perfect whole with the tooth in terms of aesthetics and durability and can be used for many years without any color and shape change.
